On October 28 and 29, 2013, more than 200 people attended Accelerating Action – The Delaware River Watershed Forum at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia to discuss key issues affecting conservation and restoration efforts in the Basin.
The Forum, which was hosted by the Coalition for the Delaware River Watershed and sponsored by the William Penn Foundation, was structured around a series of facilitated discussions to identify the obstacles, challenges, needs, and opportunities encountered by those working throughout the Watershed.
Discussions on the first day of the Forum focused on specific landscapes, while discussions on the second day were watershed-wide in scope.
The Delaware River Forum website contains some of the presentations that were used to begin many of the discussion sessions, a synopsis of the key themes that emerged from the discussions, and information on follow-up activities.
