Are you 55 years or older, live in Clearfield County and want to become involved in protecting our resources and educating the public on the natural world? If so, the Clearfield County Senior Environment Corps wants you.
Senior Environment Corps members can participate in a variety of tasks from monitoring water-quality, observing and reporting on wildlife, reaching out to the public on environmental issues, and even helping with office tasks. The possibilities are endless.

The Clearfield County Conservation District and Nature Abounds, a locally based national non-profit and national parent of the Senior Environment Corps, sponsor the Clearfield SEC.
“The Clearfield Senior Environment Corps members have been monitoring the water quality of Clearfield waterways since 2000. They also mentor the next generation of environmental stewards and help with park clean-ups and trail restoration,” said Nature Abounds President, Melinda Hughes-Wert.
The group invites seniors that are interested in the environment to join the SEC. The group meets on the first Monday of every month, and on April 6th, the group will also be holding a training for water quality monitoring.
