The Trails Advisory Committee to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources recently released its 2013 Accomplishments Report.
In 2013, 71 trail grant projects were completed, adding 83 new trail miles, advancing trails in 36 counties. More than 5,500 hours were contributed by trail volunteers.
The committee’s responsibilities are to advise DCNR on the use of trail funding in Pennsylvania; review and rank trail project applications; and present an annual report to the secretary on trail activities.
The report is available online. For more information on trails, visit the Explore PA Trails website.
