PA Organization For Watersheds & Rivers Hosts Sept. 16 Webinar On Understanding Green Stormwater Infrastructure Implementation In Your Municipality

Join the
PA Organization for Watersheds and Rivers for a September 16 webinar from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on managing stormwater using nature-based solutions and how you can encourage your municipality to evaluate its land development requirements for doing so.

POWR will host Paul Racette, Senior Program Manager at the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, for a presentation about the evolution of stormwater management in Pennsylvania, the benefits of green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) for water quality and flood control, and how municipal rules and ordinances can hinder or encourage better stormwater management practices.

You will also be introduced to a Guidebook created to assist municipalities in reviewing and revising ordinance language thus encouraging land use planners and developers to make GSI part of the land development process.

This webinar will enhance your understanding and give you another tool in your tool box to help restore, protect, and conserve your local waterways and watersheds.

This webinar is free to attend but requires registration by September 14.
