Trails continue to be one of the most sought-after outdoor experiences in communities across Pennsylvania.
The Commonwealth’s vision is to develop a statewide land and water trail network that facilitates recreation, transportation, and healthy lifestyles for all.
DCNR remains committed to ensuring there is a trail within 10 minutes of everyone in Pennsylvania, and this plan outlines strategies—such as closing Priority Trail Gaps—to make that vision a reality.
The plan is built around four key goals and 26 action items that reflect current trail needs, challenges, and opportunities.
