Game Commission Posts 2025 Events At Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area And Conservation Heritage Museum In Lancaster County; When Will Migrating Birds Arrive?

The
Game Commission this week announced a fresh slate of monthly activities, archery programs and popular annual events-- including a new one-- at the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area and Conservation Heritage Museum in Lancaster County.

World Migratory Bird Day will be held May 10 and the annual Wildlife Art Show is scheduled for August 2-3.

A new addition this year is an event on June 28 called the Pennsylvania Conservation Collectibles Expo.

At this event, collectors of memorabilia from organizations like the Game Commission, Fish and Boat Commission, private conservation groups, and others can buy, sell, and trade their items such as old publications, patches, maps, pins, Game News, old licenses, and more.

Check For Arriving Migrating Birds

In recent years more than 100,000 snow geese dropped into Middle Creek on their annual migration to their breeding grounds further north.

The Visitors Center opens January 21 and the birds have begun arriving as early as mid-February, but birds can start arriving as early as late January.

A live stream of the Middle Creek lake will come online closer to when the birds are expected.
