DCNR Conservation & Natural Resources Advisory Council Meets May 24 On Revised Climate Action Plan, Cultural Resources Program, More

DCNR's
Conservation and Natural Resources Advisory Council is scheduled to meet on May 24 to hear presentations on a revised DCNR Climate Action Plan, the Cultural and Historical Resources Program and other updates from the agency.

Greg Czarnecki, DCNR’s Director of Applied Climate Science, will discuss DCNR’s efforts to advance its climate change and mitigation actions, including the revision of its Climate Action Plan.

Angie Jaillet-Wentling, Cultural and Historical Resources Program Coordinator for DCNR, will discuss the agency’s efforts to work cooperatively with other agencies to research, protect and tell the stories of our parks’ and forests’ cultural and historic past. She will showcase examples of the discoveries and work being done by the Outdoor Corps Cultural Resources crew.

DCNR Deputy Secretary Mike Walsh will touch on agency hiring changes that will help DCNR build a more diverse workforce for the future.

Public Comments

There will be two opportunities for public comment at the meeting.  If you are interested in presenting comments, please advise by email to kharris@bridgeconsultingcorp.com no later than 5:00 p.m. on May 23.  You can provide comments at the beginning of the meeting or at the end of the meeting.
