The Master Watershed Steward program recently launched in Erie, Crawford, and Warren Counties and welcomed Amber Stilwell as the Program Coordinator.
Amber’s role is also shared with the Pennsylvania Sea Grant, Coastal Outreach Specialist, where she’ll be working in the Lake Erie Region, focusing on developing programs related to healthy ecosystems and watershed restoration.
Prior to joining Penn State Extension, Amber worked with the Regional Science Consortium in Erie, PA where she coordinated water quality and restoration monitoring projects, expanded harmful algal bloom monitoring, and citizen science programs focusing on providing public health-oriented water quality testing and experiences for students.
Amber earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mercyhurst University and Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Gannon University.
Jim Lewis began as the coordinator for the Lower Susquehanna program, comprised of Lancaster, Lebanon, and Dauphin counties.
Jim retired from DXC Technology in 2019 after 40 plus years in the IT industry. He spent several years in computer operations and system engineering and eventually moved to the client-side of the business.
In addition to managing client relationships, his responsibilities included sales, contracts, people care, financials, as well as overall management for IT transformation programs.
Jim graduated high school from Gettysburg Area High school and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in public administration from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
He and his wife Jen currently reside in Lancaster, PA and are both volunteers for the Master Watershed Steward program.
