The 9/11 Outreach and Education arm of the World Trade Center Health Program and the Sept. 11, 2001 Victim Compensation Fund will hold meetings in Somerset March 25, 26 and 27 to answer questions about and accept registrations for enrollment of eligible individuals
These meetings will be of interest to first responders, volunteers and others assisting with the recovery, cleanup operations and restoration at the crash site of Flight 93 in Shanksville, Somerset County.
Eligible individuals for these programs could include active or retired member of a fire or police department (fire or emergency personnel), worked for a recovery or cleanup contractor, or was a volunteer at the crash site in Shanksville minimum of (4) hours from September 11, 2001, through October 3, 2001, assisting with Recovery, Clean-Up Operations, and/or Related Support Services.
Note, responders can include are the mortuary workers, chaplains, mental health workers, National Guard, media, elected officials, National Park Service, physicians, nurses, medical staff, local businesses and residents transporting and distributing equipment, supplies, food, water, etc., American Red Cross and Salvation Army volunteers, contractors, auxiliary volunteers, emergency management workers, as well as anyone that was officially deployed and also volunteered on their own time.
