Penn State/DCNR Forest Health, Insect And Disease Briefing March 17 In State College

Penn State Extension, in partnership with the DCNR Bureau of Forestry, Division of Forest Health, will be holding the Annual Forest Health, Insect, and Disease Briefing on March 17 in State College to review the status of Pennsylvania’s forest insect and disease problems and provide important forest health updates and information.
This meeting is designed specifically for forestry and other natural resource management professionals.
Among the presentations are--
-- Pollinators and Pesticide Stewardship
-- Strategies For Treatment Of Unhealthy Forest Stands
-- Deer-Forest Study: Integrating Forest and Wildlife Research
-- Invasive Shrubs in Eastern Deciduous Forests
-- The Spotted Lanternfly Threat
-- Ash Resistance To Emerald Ash Borer
-- PA Insect and Disease Update
This meeting is approved for Pennsylvania pesticide recertification credits, both category and core. 
It has also been approved for Society of American Foresters Continuing Forestry Education credits as well as International Society of Arboriculture Continuing Education Units and Sustainable Forestry Initiative Training Units.
The briefing will be held at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center, 215 Innovation Boulevard in State College from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
