Upper Delaware BioBlitz June 29-30 In Starlight, Wayne County

The Upper Delaware BioBlitz on June 29-30 is a biannual event where 9 teams of scientists and amateur naturalists from all over the region meet to collect, identify, and catalog every living species visible to the naked eye.
This is the 4th BioBlitz since 2013 and begin on June 29 and continue through to June 30.
The public is invited from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 30 to see what has been collected, meet the scientists and amateur naturalists doing the work, learn about biodiversity at the site, and participate on walks or in workshops on the site.
At a large tent called "base camp," all the teams bring specimens they have collected and work here to identify them down to the species level.
On each team's table, they may have specimen trays, aquariums, terrariums, microscopes, hand lenses, and reference materials so you can learn about what you're seeing.
There are also tours on site led by team members so that you can see where specimens were collected on site and view them in context in the habitat.
This event will take place at the Gales Property, PA Rt. 191, Starlight, Wayne County, Intersection with PA Rt. 370, Starlight, PA 18417.
A schedule of programs and walks will be posted on the Upper Delaware BioBlitz and Facebook page.
