Manada Conservancy Announces New Kittatinny Landowner Stories Video Series On Land Conservation

On February 20, the Manada Conservancy in Dauphin County announced the launch of a new Kittatinny Landowner Stories Video Series highlighting the people and partnerships making permanent land protection possible throughout the Kittatinny Ridge Conservation Landscape.

The videos include--

-- The Fritchey Family Forest: “One of the best things I’ve ever done.” Landowner Rob Fritchey shares his experience protecting his 35 acre forest through a special effort to protect land around Fort Indiantown Gap Military base.

-- Camp Small Valley: A treasured 762 acre woodland property operated by the Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania since the 1950s, was permanently protected in 2015.

-- Maple Valley Acres: Tyler and Karoline Shaw share their journey of purchasing an already-protected farm made affordable for a young couple ready to steward the land for generations.

-- The Laudenslager Family Farm: Over several transactions, the Laudenslager Family protected 575 acres of farmland, woodland, and wetland on Peters Mountain and within Powells Valley preserving their legacy on their own terms.
