“Having visited the area a number of times since Ida, I have seen firsthand the devastation that this storm has caused and the hundreds of lives it has impacted,” Padfield said. “Establishing a resource like this is a critical first step to help impacted individuals understand what help is available to them now to hasten their recovery.”
This MARC is available for all Philadelphia residents. Featuring representatives from more than a dozen state, local, county, and regional agencies, the resource center will be open from Noon to 8:00 PM Friday and Saturday, Sept 9-10 at Gustine Recreation Center, 4868 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19129.
In addition to local government representatives, participating state agencies include:
Office of the Attorney General
PA Department of Health
PA Department of Human Services
PA Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
PA Department of Environment Protection
PA Insurance Department
Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency
Officials continue to urge residents and business owners to report storm damage to city officials online.
Anyone who repairs damage is encouraged to record their efforts with photographs, documents, and receipts.
