The House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee is scheduled to meet October 4 to consider House Bill 598 (Oberlander-R-Clarion) would limit actions to create prescriptive easements to public entities like state agencies and local governments, not private entities.
For any existing litigation, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources would be substituted for the private entity trying to claim the public easement.
The meeting will be held in Room 515 Irvis Building at the Call of the Chair-- meaning it could be held at any time after the House convenes for voting session Monday. Click Here to watch live.
