South Mountain Partnership, Penn State Mont Alto Host Earth Day 50 Webinar Generations Yet To Come April 20

The South Mountain Partnership, Penn State Mont Alto School Of Forestry and other partners will host an April 20 webinar celebrating Earth Day’s 50th anniversary with a special screening of the WITF documentary Generations Yet To Come: Environmental Rights In Pennsylvania from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The program will feature a speakers’ panel and an evening with like-minded outdoor enthusiasts and conservationists.
Earth Day 1970 led to passage of landmark environmental laws that helped protect our air, water, wildlife and habitat.  Pennsylvania also recognized environmental quality as a basic civil right in the state’s constitution in 1971.
The powerful language in the Environmental Rights Amendment was ignored for decades, but that’s starting to change as the documentary highlights.
