Dept. Of Health Reports 13 New Deaths Due To COVID-19

On April 12, the Department of Health reported 13 more Pennsylvanians have died from COVID-19 bringing the total number of deaths to 507.

As of 12:00 a.m. April 12, there were 1,178 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 22,833 in all 67 counties.

County-specific information and a statewide map are available.

There are 102,057 patients who have tested negative to date. Of the patients who have tested positive to date the age breakdown is as follows:

-- Less Than 1 percent are aged 0-4;

-- 1 percent are aged 5-12;

-- 2 percent are aged 13-18;

-- Nearly 9 percent are aged 19-24;

-- Nearly 49 percent are aged 25-49;

-- 29 percent are aged 50-64; and

-- 21 percent are aged 65 or older.

Most of the patients hospitalized are aged 65 or older, and most of the deaths have occurred in patients 65 or older. There have been no pediatric deaths to date. More data is available here.
