The 4th Annual Delaware River Watershed Forum, to be held September 19-20 in Blue Bell, Montgomery County, is now accepting early-bird registrations now through August 19.
In addition to informative presentations, interactive discussions, and visits to nearby sites that highlight different conservation issues and approaches, this year's Forum will also include workshops for a more practical and in-depth exploration of key topics.
The first day will provide an opportunity to explore and discuss some of the challenges facing the Watershed and its various regions, as well as the work being done by organizations to address those challenges.
The Forum will also take a "Big Picture," watershed-wide look at the Delaware River Basin before embarking on trips out to see the great conservation work going on nearby that aims to address some of the challenges faced in our region.
Finally, the Forum finish up with a cocktail reception where participants can network, reconnect with colleagues, and enjoy the beautiful Normandy Farm space before heading out for individual dinner plans.
The second day will focus on the various solutions stakeholders in our Watershed are pursuing to address many of the challenges discussed during the first day.
The Forum will begin with informal breakfast roundtable discussions on hot topics in the Watershed, followed by breakout sessions to discuss the many planning efforts and policy solutions taking shape throughout the River Basin.
Participants can then end the day by selecting a workshop that best aligns with their professional or organizational needs and interests.
The Forum is organized by the Coalition for the Delaware River Watershed formed in 2012 to raise awareness of the river and its surrounding landscape by bringing together groups already working to restore degraded resources, safeguard vulnerable assets, and educate their communities.
