Around the home and down on the farm, it’s planting season. Prime time for digging in the dirt. Gardeners are feeling the earth under foot and between their fingers. For farmers, the crop cycle is taking root with spring plantings. Healthy soil is key to planting success and clean water.
The PA Environmental Council organized a tree planting event at Weiser State Forest in Columbia County April 30 that resulted in more than a dozen volunteers planting 4,000 trees to help improve water quality and restore forest habitat.
On Thursday, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency presented its Fiscal Year 2015 EPA Administrator's Award for Outstanding Accomplishments by a Small Business Trade or State Small Business Environmental Assistance Provider Award to the PA Small Business Development Center Environmental Management Assistance Program.
On April 15, a wide group of advocates unveiled the new website and branding for The Circuit Trails. Formerly known just as the “Circuit,” the new name, logo, and collateral materials reflect an effort to promote the regional trail network to a broad group of trail users and supporters.
