Mini-Grants Available For Snowmobile Trail Improvements

Applications are being accepted until March 6 by the PA State Snowmobile Association for equipment related to grooming and improving snowmobile trails that are open for public use.  
The mini-grants are supported by DCNR’s Community Conservation Partnerships Program Snowmobile/ATV Fund. Eligible activities include:
-- Maintenance and renovation of existing trails (new bridge projects must be approved by DCNR and funded by sources other than PSSA);
-- Development/rehabilitation of trailside and trailhead facilities and linkages;
-- Lease/rental of trail construction supplies, parts and heavy equipment;
-- Purchase of trail maintenance supplies, parts and heavy equipment, excluding hand-held tools, chain-saws, etc.;
-- Groomer maintenance expenses; and
-- Grooming equipment (application for groomers should be made through DCNR).
Funded projects that meet these eligibility requirements must be completed by October 31.  Applications can be downloaded from PSSA's website or requested by email to: or by calling 717-236-2050, ext. 127.
