The State Conservation Commission has received $6.8 million in applications for the $4.5 million in Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP) farm conservation tax credits available this year.
As a result, the Commission will only accept new applications in person or postmarked no later than August 9.
Applicants can expect to receive notification from the Commission on their application within the next several weeks and no later than 60 days.
Applications which the Commission is unable to approve because the credit limit has been reached on other projects will be kept on file and considered first should additional credits become available.
