DEP Accepting Comments On Renewal Of An Air Quality Permit For 23 Diesel Generators At The Iron Mountain Underground Data Center In Butler County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the April 25 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a renewal of a State Only Air Quality Permit for 23 backup diesel generators at the Iron Mountain Information Management, Inc. underground data center in Cherry Township, Butler County. (

The major changes to the permit include the incorporation of the GP-9 Air Quality General Permit requirements.

No hearing has been scheduled on this permit, but one can be requested.

DEP will accept comments until May 25-- 30 days after this notice.

Requests to review the permit application should be sent to the DEP Northwest Regional Office Air Quality Program, 230 Chestnut Street, Meadville 16335 or call 814-332-6945.
