DEP Accepting Comments On Air Quality Operating Permit For Additional Control Equipment At The Rauch Creek Coal Waste-Fired Power Plant In Schuylkill County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the April 25 PA Bulletin inviting comments on changes to an Air Quality Operating Permit for the Rauch Creek Generation, LLC coal waste-fired power plant covering the installation of additional air pollution control equipment at the facility located in Frailey Township, Schuylkill County.  (

No hearing has been scheduled on this permit, but one can be requested.

DEP will accept comments until May 25-- 30 days after this notice.

Requests to review the permit application should be sent to the DEP Northeast Regional Office Air Quality Program, 2 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre 18701 or call 570-826-2511.
