York Township Commissioners Set Aug. 8 Meeting On Rezoning Defunct Red Lion Golf Course To High-Density Residential Construction

The York Township Commissioners will hold a meeting on August 8 on a request to change the zoning on the now defunct Red Lion Golf Course to all for the development of 200 homes.

The hearing will be held at the York Township Building, 190 Oak Road in Dallastown, York County starting at 6:00 p.m.

A citizens group-- Stop High Density Development of Old Red Lion Country Club Golf Course-- is asking the public to email the York Township Board of Commissioners before August 8, voicing concerns and showing support for preserving this 58-acre green space.

"Urge the Commissioners to vote no, or postpone the decision for 18 months to allow time to acquire the funds, including a grant for managing an outdoor educational facility and maintenance.
