As its beautiful annuals and perennials awaken from their winter slumber, Gifford Pinchot’s Grey Towers National Historic Site in Milford, Pike County, opens for its 2018 visitor season.

The 1886 mansion, its gardens and grounds offer a special setting for guided tours, public programs and reflective inspirational thinking.
Guided tours of the mansion are offered every day except Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the hour. Reservations are required for groups larger than 10 and youth programs.
Watch how lace is made by hand in a demonstration by the Lost Art Lace Makers of North Jersey on June 9 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
An outdoor landscape painting program begins on June 14 at 10:00 a.m. and is offered throughout the summer. For information and dates call 570-775-6896 or online.
On June 16 at 5:30 pm the Kindred Spirits Arts Program offers an outdoor musical performance, Noire Guitar Duo. For tickets call 570-296-7429 or online.
Want to learn more about the relationship between Americans and their trees throughout history? Come hear Yale University Professor Eric Rutkow speak about his research and book, "American Canopy: Trees, Forests and the Making of a Nation," on June 30, at 5:30 p.m. The Grey Towers Heritage Association will sponsor a reception with light refreshments afterwards. The lecture and reception are free.
