Pike County Workshop For Contractors: Plan Your Project Proactively March 21

The Pike County Conservation District, in partnership with Wayne Pike Building Industry Association, will host a Contractors Workshop on March 21, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Pike County Training Center, 135 Pike County Blvd, Lords Valley to share resources on proactive project planning.
Hundreds of contractors work in Pike and Wayne counties each year: builders, tree cutters, landscapers, dock builders, surveyors, excavators, and more.
Topics covered during the workshop will include: impacts of erosion and sedimentation, how to complete an Erosion and Sedimentation Plan, wetlands and general permitting, and best management practices.
“This workshop provides a great opportunity for building professionals to gather helpful information on planning for their projects and to connect with the Conservation District early in the process,” says Sally Corrigan, PCCD Executive Director.
“Keeping our building professionals up to date on useful information that helps them in their daily work is vital to our organization,” says Cindy Cepko, President, Wayne Pike Building Industry Association. “We are so pleased this co-sponsorship opportunity allows us to offer such an advantageous service to our members and potential members.”

The Workshop will be held Pike County Training Center is located at 135 Pike County Boulevard, in Lords Valley.
The cost per person is $10, which covers lunch. The snow date for the workshop is March 22. In the event of inclement weather, an announcement will be posted on the PCCD website and Facebook page.
