Susquehanna River Basin Commission Adopts 2017 Regulatory Program Fee Schedule

The Susquehanna River Basin Commission Thursday took action on a variety of issues, including adopting the FY 2017 Regulatory Program Fee schedule.  SRBC also--
-- Elected new officers with the State of Maryland to serve as Chair and the Federal Government to serve as Vice Chair beginning July 1;
-- Adopted its FY 2017-2018 Water Resources Program;
-- Adopted amendments to SRBC’s comprehensive plan;
-- Adopted its FY 2017 Regulatory Program Fee Schedule;
-- Adopted its preliminary FY 2018 budget;
-- Adopted its Policy for Sustainable Water Resources Fund, Guidelines for Terminating Review of a Project Application, and Guidelines for Expiring Project Approvals;
-- Accepted a settlement offer for a compliance matter from New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Inc. for $30,000 for consumptively using water in excess of its regulatory threshold; and approved 14 applications and tabled 7 applications.
SRBC’s voting commissioners and alternates were: Kelly Heffner, SRBC Chair and Special Deputy Secretary for Water Resources Planning, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection; Virginia Kearney, SRBC Vice Chair and Deputy Director, Water Management Administration, Maryland Department of the Environment; Col. Edward Chamberlayne, Commander and District Engineer, Baltimore District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and Kenneth Lynch, Executive Deputy Commissioner, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
SRBC staff also reported on delegated settlements with the following project sponsors, pursuant to SRBC Resolution No. 2014-15--
-- Vestal Hills Hospitality, in the amount of $2,000;
-- SWN Production Company LLC, in the amount of $7,000;
-- Inflection Energy (PA), LLC, in the amount of $3,000; and
-- Cedar Rock Materials Corp./Bower Quarry, in the amount of $3,000.
