The Department of Environmental Protection is again offering $500 rebates under the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Rebate Program for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in electric vehicles, natural gas vehicles, propane-powered vehicles, hydrogen vehicles and fuel cell vehicles.
To qualify for the $500 rebate, the alternative fuel vehicle must be registered in and primarily operated within this Commonwealth. Retrofits of original equipment manufacturer vehicles are not eligible.
The rebates will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis as long as funds are available. A total of $500,000 is available for allocation under the Program. Rebate request forms and required documentation must be postmarked no later than 6 months after the vehicle is purchased.
