Small Watershed Farm Conservation Success
See how landowners in a tributary to the Little Conestoga Creek in Lancaster County have worked with Stroud and many partners to adopt farm conservation practices across multiple properties to improve water quality.
When Dams Come Down - Reconnecting Rivers
Join Stroud on October 13, at 6 p.m. for our annual Joan and Dick Stroud Memorial Lecture where Katie Schmidt and Jessie Thomas-Blate from American Rivers will share stories of river restoration from California’s Klamath River to local waterways in Pennsylvania.
PA Farmland Raptor Project
A partnership between the Stroud Center and Hawk Mountain Sanctuary lets qualifying landowners receive free nest boxes for barn owls and American kestrels, which are declining because of habitat loss and changing land use.
The raptors help control rodents that can damage trees in newly planted riparian buffers.
