This TGD provides detailed design and construction standards for community water systems, and information on the procedures to be followed to obtain a Public Water Supply Permit.
A community water system is a public water system which serves at least 15 service connections used by year-round residents or regularly serves at least 25 year-round residents.
The standards outlined within this manual conform to accepted standards of engineering and design in the water supply industry and align with standards of the American Water Works Association and the Great Lakes—Upper Mississippi River Board's Ten States Standards.
Prior to these revisions, Part II had not received any major revisions since May 2006
