Schuylkill Action Network Schuylkill River Restoration Fund Project Showcase, Grant Announcement Sept. 17 In Philadelphia

The Schuylkill Action Network will hold its annual Schuylkill River Restoration Fund Project Showcase and grant announcement on September 17 at the Northwestern Stables, 120 W. Northwestern Ave., Philadelphia from 10:00 a.m. to Noon.

The day's events will include a tour of the watershed stewardship project implemented at the stable and guests will hear from speakers about the annual announcement of the Schuylkill River Restoration Fund grantees for environmental restoration projects within the Schuylkill Watershed.

So far, the Network has helped permanently protect 17.5 percent of the watershed, invested $14 million in abandoned mine drainage treatment projects and leveraged $9.2 million in restoration projects.
