Outdoor Discovery Center At Crooked Creek Hosts Oct. 3 Knee High To Nature Program For Elementary Students

The Outdoor Discovery Center at Crooked Creek in Armstrong County will hold a Knee High To Nature Series Program for elementary school students from 10:00 a.m. to Noon.
The theme of this in-person program is What Is Nature?
Students will figure out how we can use our senses to explore it.  Children will go on a scavenger hunt, learn why the leaves change color in the fall, make nature themed crafts, and have fun!
A parent or guardian will need to remain on site the entire time.  They are welcome to sit with their child or can explore another section of the Outdoor Discovery Center.
Class size will be limited to no more than 10 children.  All participants, including the instructor, will be required to wear a mask while indoors and will be asked to remain socially distant (at least 6 feet apart) from other students throughout the session.

The program is supported by a grant from the Grable Foundation.
