DEP Holds Tuesday, Jan. 15 Meeting On Proposed Greater Lebanon Landfill Permit Modification

On January 14, the Department of Environmental Protection announced it will host a public meeting on January 15 to answer questions from the public regarding the Greater Lebanon Refuse Authority’s Major Permit Modification Application to the expand the Greater Lebanon Refuse Authority Landfill located in North Lebanon and North Annville townships.
The meeting will be held at the Cornwall-Lebanon School District’s Ebenezer Elementary School, 1600 Colonial Circle, Lebanon, PA 17046 and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
The application is for an expansion on top of the existing closed Greater Lebanon Refuse Authority Landfill. The expansion includes 47 acres of constructed landfill cells. The expansion, if granted, would add an additional 15 years of capacity to the landfill. 
During the meeting, authority officials and DEP staff will answer questions from the public regarding the application and the application review process.
