DEP Reevaluating Water Quality Designations For 26 Streams In 19 Counties

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the March 5 PA Bulletin it is reevaluating the water quality designations for 26 streams or stream segments in 19 counties and is inviting groups and individuals to submit data to the agency which may have a bearing on those designations.
The streams are in Berks, Cambria, Cameron, Carbon, Centre, Clinton, Cumberland, Huntingdon, Indiana, Lackawanna, Lycoming, Northampton, Potter, Schuylkill, Somerset, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union and Wayne counties.
Persons who have technical data concerning the water quality, instream habitat or biological condition of these stream sections are encouraged to make it available to the Department for consideration in the assessment.
These assessments may lead to recommendations to the Environmental Quality Board for redesignation.
Data should be submitted within 30 days of this notice-- April 4.
