Celebrate Cherry Valley’s natural beauty at the annual Cherry Valley Festival, to be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 13, at the Josie Porter Farm, 6514 Cherry Valley Road, Stroudsburg.
The event will feature nature walks, farm tours, bird walks, music, arts and crafts vendors, a benefit auction, and food.
Special events include:
—11 a.m.: Cooking demonstration by Mikuna Kitchen. Learn how to make gnocchi from scratch, plus how to use seasonal vegetables for easy dinners.
— 12:30 p.m.: Music Naturally with Veronika Roemer. In this audience-participation show, learn how to create instruments from stone, bamboo, metal and more.
— 2 p.m.: “Bats of the Valley” with Marilyn Kitchell Straton, wildlife biologist
— 3 p.m.: “Critters of the Wild” with Roger Spotts of Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center
Admission is free, with plenty of free parking.
