Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Chris Abruzzo told DEP’s Citizens Advisory Council Tuesday the agency will schedule two more public hearings on proposed changes to Chapter 78 drilling regulations to give the public more opportunity to comment on the changes.
He said the hearings would be in Bradford and Warren counties and should be scheduled during the first two weeks of February.
This brings the total number of hearings to nine on the Chapter 78 proposal, more hearings than the agency has ever held on a regulatory proposal since its creation in 1971.
The remaining hearings already scheduled include-- January 23 in Indiana, Indiana County and January 27 in Tunkhannock, Wyoming County. Click Here for times and locations.
