DEP Sets Nov. 18 Hearing On Mid-Atlantic Interstate Transmission Line Project In Lehman And Delaware Townships, Pike County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the October 10 PA Bulletin announcing a November 18 hearing on an Individual Stormwater Permit for the Mid-Atlantic Interstate Transmission, LLC 10.4 mile Segment 2 - Bushkill Falls To Birchwood Lakes Electric Substation transmission line project in Lehman and Delaware Townships, Pike County.  (

The project route covers 80.62 acres and will impact Little Bushkill (Exceptional Value), Delaware River (High Quality), Toms Creek (Exceptional Value), Hornbecks Creek (High Quality), Dingmans Creek (High Quality), and various Exceptional Value wetlands.

The November 18 hearing will be held at the Dingman's Ferry Middle School, 1365 Route 739, Dingman's Ferry from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Representatives from DEP’s Waterways & Wetlands Program and the Pike County Conservation District will be in attendance.

Individuals wishing to testify at the hearing submit a written notice of intent to Patrica Monahan, Community Relations Coordinator at: pamonahan@pa.gov. 

The hearing is for the purpose of accepting additional comments on the permit application.

The permit application documentation, and conceptual plans are available for review at the Pike County Conservation District Office, 556 Route 402, Hawley, PA 18428 at (570) 226-8220 and/or the DEP Northeast Regional Office, 2 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre, PA (570) 826-2511.
