The tour of the property isn't just a tour of a pretty place. It's a look at what is at stake if a data center goes up.
The current proposed data center in Clifton and Covington Townships, Lackawanna County directly abuts these 700 protected acres.
If built, it will change the sanctuary forever by draining its water, drowning out the sounds of animals and birds, and disrupting natural ecosystems.
We hope you can come this Saturday, August 1 at 10:00 a.m. to experience this special property and stand up for our watershed.
PHLT's stewardship manager, Matt Schultz will guide us through the rich forest to tour the large pond and bubbling sand springs.
We’ll meet up at the property entrance on Sandy Beach Road in Clifton, PA where there is room for parking.
The street address is approximate, the entrance is about 1.8 miles from intersection with Clifton Beach Road. Use Google coordinates: Google coordinates 41°15’14.6″N 75°32’38.7″W.
No registration required!
Please note this event is being coordinated by North Pocono CARE, and while we are happy to answer any questions you may have, the best way is to directly contact their organization.
