The amendment to the Water Resources Development Act was proposed by PA Republican Congressman Scott Perry, who represents a district in Southcentral Pennsylvania, not in the Delaware Watershed.
Van Rossum said-- "If this amendment passes out of the Committee, it will most certainly pass out of the House of Representatives and be on its way to becoming a law as soon as adopted by the Senate."
She urged the public to contact the three members on the House Committee that represent communities in the Delaware River Watershed--
-- Representative Pat Ryan (NY) - (202) 225-5614 or (845) 443-2980
-- Representative Jerry Nadler (NY - representing NYC) - 202-225-5635 or 212-367-7350
-- Representative Nellie Pou (NJ) - (202) 225-5751 or (973) 523-5152
