StreamSmart Stormwater House Calls Can Help Property Owners Reduce Stormwater Pollution In 5 Target Watersheds In Southeast PA

Have you noticed that 100-year storms are becoming more common? Storm waters don’t just flood our homes; they pick up toxic chemicals from lawns and driveways as they flow into local streams.
This “runoff” pollutes the water we use to fish, drink and swim.

The StreamSmart Stormwater House Calls Program can help you explore the use of rain gardens, vegetation swales, buffers, conservation landscaping, rain barrels and other natural solutions to stop stormwater pollution and improving water quality in local creeks.

They are easy to maintain and can even increase your property value!

5 Watersheds

The Stormwater House Calls Program is a free program in five Southwest PA watersheds-- Darby Creek, Pennypack, Tookany/Tacony-Frankford, Wissahickon and the Chester, Ridley, and Crum Source Water Areas.

Click Here to see if you live in one of these watersheds in parts of Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery or Philadelphia counties.

Organizations partnering on this program include: Darby Creek Valley Association, Eastern Delaware County Stormwater Collaborative, Lower Merion Conservancy, PA Environmental Council, PA Resources Council, Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust, Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership, Inc. and Wissahickon Trails.

To apply for a Stormwater House Call audit/assessment, visit the StreamSmart House Calls website.
