Lower Susquehanna RiverKeeper Hosts Jan. 14 Data Centers in the Susquehanna River Basin – Let's Talk Water Usage With SRBC

The
Lower Susquehanna RiverKeeper will host a January 14 dinner program on Data Centers in the Susquehanna River Basin – Let's Talk Water Usage at the RiverKeeper office at 338 S. Front Street in Wrightsville, York County from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Join the program for an evening with Andrew Dehoff, the Executive Director of the Susquehanna River Basin Commission. With the potential rapid growth of data centers in Pennsylvania, there is much to consider and know before they come to town.

Conversation about energy demand, land use, and community infrastructure are happening, but what about the impact on regional water resources?

Early Pennsylvania proposals indicate that a single AI hyperscale complex can require millions of gallons of water per day.

This scale of water consumption places new pressures on municipal water infrastructure, wellfields, and aquatic ecosystems.

Discover what resource regulators and planners are really seeing with data centers and local water impacts.
