DCNR Conservation & Natural Resources Advisory Council Meets Nov. 20 To Discuss A Draft Environmental Justice Plan, Diversity Initiatives; 2023-24 Annual Report Released

The DCNR
Conservation and Natural Resources Advisory Council is scheduled to meet on November 20 to discuss a draft Environmental Justice Plan, diverse community partnerships and diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives.

The agenda includes--

-- DCNR Secretary Report -- Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn

-- DCNR Policy Report -- Nicole Faraguna, Policy Director

-- DCNR Legislative Report -- Eric Nelson, Director of Legislative Affairs

-- Presentation: Making Space for Diverse Community Partnerships -- Keisha Scovens, Co-Founder, Let's Go Outdoors

-- Presentation: DCNR Mosaic Initiative Update: Year One -- Arlene Marshall-Hockensmith, DCNR Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

-- Presentation: Overview of DCNR Draft Environmental Justice Plan -- Ali Bowling, DCNR Policy Specialist

Annual Report

The Council recently released its 2023-24 Annual Report that introduces CNRAC Members and identifies Focus Areas and summarizes Council meetings twelve months, including the September 2023 Field Tour to northcentral Pennsylvania.

The guest speakers and topics from the 2023 CNRAC Conversations regarding carbon storage initiatives are described. 

The report also identifies CNRAC's formal comments and position letters regarding the ATV Regional Connector Pilot and Duke Military Operations Area Airspace.

The meeting will be held in Room 105 of the Rachel Carson Building in Harrisburg starting at 10:00 a.m.
