PA Forestry Assn. 138th Annual Symposium - What Makes A Healthy Forest; Awards Program Nov. 16 In State College

The
Pennsylvania Forestry Association will hold its 138th Annual Symposium - What Makes A Health Forest November 16 at the Ramada Conference Center in State College from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Everyone interested in the care and support of Penn's Woods are welcome to attend.

The agenda includes presentations on--

-- Conserving working woodlands with a goal of enhancing forest health

-- Healthy wildlife habitat and resources available

-- DCNR Bureau of Forestry Update

-- Conservation volunteers and their positive impact

-- Native plant species in PA forests, provide health benefits

-- Awareness of PA wildlife restrictions and laws

The program will also include the presentation of annual PFA Awards, including the Sandy Cochran Award, Joseph T. Rothrock Award and the Chesapeake Bay Mira Dock Award.
