DEP Invites Comments On Total Maximum Daily Nutrient Load Plans For Muddy Run, Union County; Deer Creek, York County

The Department of Environmental Protection published notices in the October 26 PA Bulletin inviting comments on proposed Total Maximum Daily Nutrient Load Plans for Muddy Run in Union County and Deer Creek in York County.

Muddy Creek

The proposed Muddy Creek TMDL Plan says the stream is impaired for aquatic life use caused by excessive siltation due to urban runoff/storm sewers, agriculture and habitat modification.

The proposed Deer Creek TMDL plan says the stream is also impaired for aquatic life use caused by excessive siltation from agriculture.
