National Museum Of Industrial History Hosts Immersive VR Experiences On Industrial History For Lehigh Watershed Explorers Starting Sept. 21

The
National Museum of Industrial History in Bethlehem is hosting an immersive VR experience on industrial history for Lehigh Watershed explorers starting September 21.

Take a virtual kayak expedition down the Lehigh River to explore the rich industrial history in the Lehigh Watershed and how the industrial revolution influenced and transformed our communities.

In the VR experience, you will learn about the importance of coal, canals, and railroads, the cement and steel industries, and how areas in the Lehigh Valley were reinventing and transformed.

This industrial history was developed in partnership with Lehigh University, the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, National Canal Museum, DCNR’s Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center, the Lehigh Gap Nature Center and the Nurture Nature Center.

This program takes place during Family Sundays at the Museum. Youth 12 and under receive free admission when accompanied by a paying adult.

The experiences will also be available at the Museum on November 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
