Volunteers Needed For Sept. 21 Litter Cleanup, Beautification Events In Coatesville, Chester County; Find Cleanups Near You

The
2nd Century Alliance, Keep Chester County Beautiful, Litter Lifters of West Vincent and the Coatesville and Valley Township Police Departments are teaming up for litter cleanup and beautification events on September 21 in Coatesville, Chester County from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.. 

There will be two events, one starting at 7:30 a.m. cleaning up along State Route 82 and a second event starting at 10:00 a.m. cleaning up the streets and sidewalks.

Volunteers for the first event on Route 82 should park at 107 Lincoln Highway East starting at 7:30 a.m. and for the second event at 228 Lincoln Highway East starting at 10:00 a.m.

Volunteers should wear bright clothes, long shirts and pants and closed-toe sturdy shoes.

Please bring a small backpack to carry trash bags and a filled , reusable water bottle.

Safety tips, waivers, vests, gloves, litter pickers and grabbers will be provided at check in.

Teen volunteers ages 15 to 18 are welcome, with a parent's signature.
