Protect PT Hosts 4 Virtual Workshops On How To Protect Yourself If You Live Near Shale Gas Facilities Starting June 11

Protect PT is hosting a series of four virtual workshops on Living Near Shale Gas Facilities starting June 11.

Do you want to know the impacts of shale gas development on our communities? 

Are you concerned about air, water, or noise pollution from shale gas development will impact your health? 

Do you want to know how to advocate for you and your family to protect them from the negative impacts of shale gas development?

These community workshops will provide residents with the knowledge to protect themselves and their communities from the negative impacts of shale gas development. 

The Schedule

Each of the workshops will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. via Zoom--

-- June 11: The different stages of shale gas development, how to identify and report environmental violations, how to find records of violations and file right to know requests.

-- June 12: What types of accidents and incidents could happen from Shale Gas Infrastructure? What will happen if such an accident takes place? How can your family be prepared in case of such disasters?

-- June 18: How fracking affects our air and water. What may air pollution and water pollution from fracking affect your family's health. What strategies can you use to reduce health risks to your family when living amidst shale gas development.

-- June 20: How shale gas development affects noise levels and how those can affect you. How you can advocate for you, your family and community on noise pollution.

This workshop series is accompanied by the Protect PT "Home Resource Guide" binder.
