PA Oil & Gas Industrial Facilities: Permit Notices/ Opportunities To Comment - November 18

The following DEP notices were published in the
November 18 PA Bulletin related to oil and gas industry facilities.  Many of the notices offer the opportunity for public comments.

Land Recycling/Brownfield Cleanups

-- Chesapeake Appalachia LLC - Ward Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP approved Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated by production wastewater at the facility located in West Burlington Twp., Bradford County. (PA Bulletin, page 7230)

-- Chesapeake Appalachia LLC - Wissler Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP approved Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated by production wastewater at the facility located in McNett Twp., Lycoming County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7230)

-- Sunoco Pipeline LP - Tinicum Release Site: DEP disapproved a Remedial Investigation Report/ Cleanup Plan for remediation of soil and groundwater contaminated with unleaded gasoline for the site located in Tinicum Twp., Delaware County. (PA Bulletin, page 7231)

-- Evergreen Resources Management - Sunoco Philadelphia Refinery: DEP issued a technical deficiency letter for a Risk Assessment/Cleanup Plan on remediation of soil and groundwater contaminated with lead and organics for the facility  located at 3144 Passyunk Ave., Philadelphia. Storage Tank Corrective Action Cleanups

-- Prem LTD: DEP disapproved a Remedial Action Plan for remediation of oil and groundwater contaminated with petroleum at a storage tank facility located in Tobyhanna Twp., Monroe County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7243)

-- Just Furniture: DEP disapproved Remedial Action Plan for remediation of soil and groundwater contaminated with petroleum at a storage tank located in Palmer Twp., Northampton County. (PA Bulletin, page 7243)

-- Lindsay Service Center: DEP disapproved a Remedial Action Plan for remediation of soil and groundwater contaminated with petroleum at a storage tank located in Fairview Twp., York County. (PA Bulletin, page 7243)

-- Texaco 51: DEP disapproved a Remedial Action Plan for remediation of soil and groundwater contaminated with petroleum at a storage tank located in Darby Twp., Delaware County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7244)


Air Quality Permits

-- UGI Energy Services, LLC - Compressor Station/LNG Facility: DEP invites comments on the renewal of a State-Only Air Quality Permit for the facility located in Washington Twp., Wyoming County. (PA Bulletin, page 7206)

-- Texas Eastern Transmission - Bernville Compressor Station: DEP invites comments on an Air Quality State-Only Permit for the facility located in North Heidelberg Twp., Berks County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7207)

-- Sunoco, LLC - Marcus Hook Race Fuels: DEP invites comments on a State-Only Air Quality Permit for two loading racks and various storage tanks related to race fuel blending operations in Marcus Hook Boro, Delaware County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7208)

-- Waste Management of Fairless - 3 Landfill Gas Flares: DEP issued Air Quality Plan Approvals for 3 landfill gas flares for the facility located in Falls Twp., Bucks County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7233)

-- MarkWest Liberty Bluestone LLC - Pipeline Pig Receiver: DEP approved a de minimis air pollution increase for the facility located in Forward Twp., Butler County. (PA Bulletin, page 7234)

-- Diversified Production LLC - McCoy Compressor Station: DEP removed one compressor engine from the Air Quality Permit for the facility located in Green Twp., Indiana County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7235)


Waste Permits

-- PennEnergy Resources, LLC - Reno Well Pad Storage Tank: DEP invites comments on General Permit WMGR123 for installation of oil and gas wastewater storage tank located at the well pad in Middlesex Twp., Butler County. (PA Bulletin, page 7202)

-- Danco Industries, Inc. - Petroleum Wastewater Treatment Facility: DEP invites comments in next 60 days on application for a residual waste treatment facility for water contaminated with petroleum products located in Barkeyville Boro, Venango County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7202)   Read more here.
