DEP Announces Award Of $16.3 Million In Local Act 101 Recycling Grants To 80 Municipalities

On July 1, the Department of Environmental Protection announced the award of $16.3 million in Act 101 Section 902 local Recycling Grants to 80 municipalities across Pennsylvania.

Section 902 grants are used to develop and implement recycling programs. Municipalities and counties are eligible for up to 90% funding of approved recycling program costs.  
Grants were awarded to municipalities in Adams, Beaver, Berks, Blair, Bucks, Butler, Cambria, Centre, Chester, Clearfield, Clinton, Columbia, Crawford, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Elk, Erie, Fayette, Franklin, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lawrence, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe, Montgomery, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Pike, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Somerset, Susquehanna, Westmoreland and Wyoming counties.
