Help Wanted: Berks Nature Land Stewardship Specialist; Watershed Education Fellowship

Berks Nature seeking qualified candidates to fill a Land Stewardship Specialist and a Watershed Education Fellowship.

-- Easement Monitoring and Land Stewardship Specialist: Since 1974, Berks Nature is proud to have protected over 9,700 acres of Berks County land under conservation easements. We are now seeking to hire an Easement Monitoring and Land Stewardship Specialist to help with the ongoing coordination, monitoring, and maintenance of these easements as well as assist with future acquisitions of new easements. 

This is a paid, exempt, full-time position. Salary range is ($42,200- 55,000) commensurate with experience. This position qualifies for paid time off, participation in health insurance, and a 401K plan.

-- Delaware River Watershed Fellowship: As a member of the Alliance for Watershed Education (AWE), Berks Nature is proud to offer this special fellowship opportunity aimed at inspiring and equipping young adults to become ambassadors for the Delaware River. 

The Delaware River Watershed Fellowship is a paid, 12-week position from June through August at Berks Nature that requires no previous environmental experience! 

Berks Nature’s Watershed Fellow will gain valuable experience exploring a career in environmental education and conservation with a specific focus on building connections between the residents of Reading and the great outdoors. 

Fellows are paid $15.50/hr, 35-40 hours a week over the summer, with a possible 120–hour extension for September 2023 until April 2023.
