DEP Posts 63 Pages Of Permit-Related Notices In Nov. 19 PA Bulletin - Regulations

This section highlights actions related to regulations and PA Bulletin notices.

-- On November 15, the Environmental Quality Board voted to approve final regulations updating safety requirements for radiation producing machines and compliance schedules for NPDES Water Quality Permits.  The Board also accepted a rulemaking petition proposing to redesignate a segment of the Brodhead Creek in Monroe County an Exceptional Value stream.  Read more here.


-- On November 17, the Independent Regulatory Review Commission voted to approve final-omitted regulations setting VOC/methane emission reduction requirements for conventional oil and gas wells, final regulations setting the state’s first MCL for PFOS/PFOA, and final regulations setting VOC Air Quality RACT requirements for shipbuilding and other operations.  Read more here.  Read more here.

-- The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the November 19 PA Bulletin inviting comments on its proposal to issue a Section 401 Water Quality Certification and associated Chapter 102 and Chapter 105 permits for the Texas Eastern Transmission LP A2MII, Armagh and Entriken Pipeline Replacement Projects impacting Cambria, Fayette, Huntingdon, Indiana and  Lebanon counties.  (Nov. 19 PA Bulletin, page 7200)   Read more here.


-- The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the November 19 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a Diversified Production LLC  Air Quality Permit application for cryptocurrency data mining operation on the Longhorn Well Pad C shale gas well site in Jay Township, Elk County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7164)   Read more here.


-- The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the November 19 PA Bulletin of December 7 virtual conference starting at 6:00 p.m. on two proposed modifications to the Tunnel Ridge, LLC underground coal mining acreage in Donegal, West and East Finely Townships, Washington County.  (PA Bulletin, page 7204)   Read more here.
